Important- March for Babies Walk Day information

Hello Family Teams!

We really appreciate all of you and all of the effort you have put into your fundraising campaigns this year. We really need your help! Please reach out to all of your team members and tell them to keep sending those emails and letters.

! Parking & Transportation!
· We’ve just received word from DART that things are changing slightly. You no longer need DART passes to ride the rail and shuttle busses on walk day, April 18th. Transportation will be running the exact same way. Just let the rail station know that you’re with the March for Babies event and you’ll have no trouble getting on. Nothing has changed, except now you don’t need the piece of paper to get on!If you already have DART passes, you do not need to return them.
· Dallas Police will be issuing citations this year to unauthorized vehicles parked in designated No Parking Zones around the March for Babies event site. Please contact your Family Team members to inform them of this and encourage them to use the DART rail to get to our event shuttles. The rails & shuttles are very stroller/ wagon friendly!

DART Information

The above link has all the information about the rail and bus services that will be provided on the day of the event, April 18th. There is also a map of the DART Rail System.

NO PARKING is available at White Rock Lake or Norbuck Park on the day of the event. The only vehicles allowed into Norbuck Park will be for vendor services and special guests. Participants who attempt to drive and park in the area assume the risk of being ticketed and/or towed.* Parking is limited at Mockingbird and White Rock Stations. If these are the closest stations to your home, you can park here and ride the FREE shuttle bus to Norbuck Park. Keep in mind that these lots will fill quickly. We suggest you park at the closest station to your home and take the rail to Mockingbird or White Rock Station.

This event is very family friendly and so are our bus drivers. They are very accommodating and will help with strollers & wagons. Just ask!

To request DART passes for your Family Team, please email Ashton Smith at asmith@marchofdimes.com.

Welcome!

It's America's favorite walking event! When you walk, you give hope to the families of babies born too soon or sick. The money you raise supports programs in your community that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies. And it funds research to find answers to the serious problems that threaten our babies. We've been walking since 1970 and have raised an incredible $1.8 billion to benefit all babies.

Family Teams are made up of friends and families walking together to celebrate or honor a baby in their lives. And many of our family teams walk in memory of a baby who didn't survive. These special teams remind everyone of the importance of our mission to help all babies be born healthy.
